Heat Saving Systems Air Doors and Air Curtains help insulate a building by generating air barriers that minimize the infiltration of outside air into a building, and the escape of heated, cooled and conditioned air from the interior of the premises Air Doors and Air Curtains reduce energy costs by reducing the need for the building’s HVAC equipment to produce make up air, improve occupant comfort and may eliminate the need for the addition of a costly entrance vestibules in existing buildings. Air Doors can be heated either electrically or with hot water from a building’s heating system, or can use ambient (unheated) air.  On January 1, 2011, Enbridge announced a $300 incentive for retrofit ambient air doors for pedestrian building entrances.
